Heavy machinery requires constant maintenance to keep it in good working order. This can include changing lubricating oil, protecting electrical equipment from dust and dirt ingress and cleaning equipment down. The need to maintain and protect heavy duty equipments created high demands for a strong 10H rated coating that is highly resistant to chemical damage. Here’s where ecocoat eclipse comes into the picture!

Introduction of ecocoat eclipse to fulfil industry needs

This product was introduced in late 2017 to fill in the needs of industrial equipments, providing protection against contaminants while making it easy to maintain equipments. ecocoat eclipse is rated 10H hardness on the pencil scale and is specifically formulated with the intention to be used for industrial purposes. It is a user-friendly coating system that works on almost all types of paint surfaces and provides resistance from ultra-micromarring and weathering. It also provides an excellent finish to the surface.

10H rated on pencil scale, ecocoat eclipse instantly crosslinks and bonds onto the substrate to increase the hardness of the surface. This provides resistance against micromarrings & scratches. Its ultra-hydrophobic property also creates a self cleaning environment by rejecting oil, dirt and liquids. As the surface rejects contaminants, the surface becomes easier to clean, requiring less effort and time.

What are the tips?

The consumption of ecocoat eclipse typically depends on the application method. In general, a wipe on wipe off method takes mostly about 1-5 ml/m. If the spraying method is incorporated, the consumption would be higher, as wastage is increased.
